The Dreamcatcher is an experiment in multi-layered painting - the two striped areas on either side of the Dreamcatcher blend to form the two blue diamond patterns. Each stripe is made up of a number of individual small scenes and motifs. It was fun doing this painting but took an extraordinarily long time.
This painting was the last one I've worked on, finished over 2 years ago. I have not done another painting since the Internet and computer art have entered my life. I miss the quiet and the serenity painting brings, and am sure I will start back up again when the time is right. There are so many other things I want to try - stained glass in particular - and will continually revisit ways of artistic expression. |
