Pueblo San Ildefonso Icon
Watercolor and Acrylic on Paper - 18" x 25"
I painted this after a trip to New Mexico, during which I passed a sign on the road
indicating the Pueblo San Ildefonso reservation was nearby. For some unknown reason,
the image of that small sign by the side of the road and the name "Pueblo San Ildefonso"
stayed with me for days afterwards. I have always felt a strong identification with that area
of New Mexico, and try to visit it everytime I return.
Out of all the paintings I have done, this one is my favorite. |
