A charming church in the beautiful little town of Hanalei near the north coast.

A view of the beautiful Hanalei valley, mentioned in the song "Puff the Magic Dragon":
"Puff, the Magic Dragon, lived by the sea,
And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Hanalei..."

The Kilohana plantation, near Lihue. Once a working farm, it is now a lovingly preserved cultural attraction. The interior harkens back to a completely different time.

The Waimea river valley. The valleys and mountains on this little island are quite amazing.

The stunning Waimea Canyon, dubbed by American writer Samuel Clemens (a.k.a. Mark Twain) the "Grand Canyon of the Pacific". The comparison is very apt.
